Ok, maybe that’s not entirely true since we’re the ones developing it and all. But we do need your help with something very, very important.
See, we here at AgileBits have used 1Password for a really long time, which means it’s hard for us to think about it the same way new users will. A curse of knowledge, if you will. Sometimes we don’t see that snag when setting up 1Password, or the part where our first-run instructions aren’t as clear as they should be.
But new users can see those things. Maybe you’re a new user, or maybe you know some people who have never used 1Password or any kind of password manager, but would be willing to give it a try. Or maybe you’re an existing tester willing to create a new user account on your Mac to try the first-run setup process.
We need you and these soon-to-be 1Password users you know to give us feedback specifically on our first-run experience. In return, we’ll give a 1Password t-shirt you see us wearing at the top of our blog to 20 people who send us the best feedback documenting their experience, or to those who get a friend or family member involved.
If you’re willing to help, give feedback on this crucial first handshake of 1Password 4 for Mac, and possibly get the best free t-shirt money can otherwise buy, please:
- sign up for our beta list or share that link with a willing friend
- install the beta, get started, and document your experience—good, bad, all of it
- share your experience with us, instructions will be in the beta email you receive
Thanks a lot for your help.
